Since 1990

Luxmi Narayan Enterprises opened in 1990 at Chandni Chowk Market, on Lenin Sarani, as dealers and suppliers of hardware and netting. It has traded from the same market ever since. In thirty-five years the products have changed — fibreglass replaced a lot of what we sold in the nineties, pleated systems did not exist here at all — but the trade has not.

Built on experience

Thirty-five years in one trade produces a specific kind of knowledge. It is knowing which mesh survives a Kolkata summer on a west-facing balcony and which discolours. It is knowing that the tape fails before the net does, so you do not economise on the tape. It is knowing, from the photograph, that a window is a two-track and the customer will need a track fitted alongside.

None of that shows up in a brochure. It shows up when someone measures your window and tells you the system you asked for is the wrong one.

A new generation of service

The business is now run by its second generation. The change is not what we sell — it is how the work is delivered. Confirmed appointments instead of "someone will come." Written, itemised quotations instead of a figure over the phone. Our own installation team rather than whoever is free. A follow-up after the job. A 24 months warranty on installation, when much of this market publishes twelve months.

What we do

Complete netting solutions: mosquito and insect screening for windows, doors and balconies; anti-bird and pigeon netting; fencing, chainlink and agro netting; PVC strip curtains for commercial premises; and custom fabrication for openings that do not fit a standard system. We are still dealers and suppliers as well as installers — you can buy material by the roll at the counter, cut to your measurement, with a GST invoice.

Measure first. Recommend honestly, including when the cheaper option is the right one. Quote in writing. Fabricate to the opening. Fit it ourselves. Follow up.
