Anti-Bird and Pigeon Netting in Kolkata
A bird net is only as good as its anchoring. Most failures are fixing failures, not mesh failures.
Pigeons are a structural nuisance in Kolkata, not just a mess. They nest in balcony corners, air-conditioner ledges, light wells and duct openings, and the droppings damage paint, railings and machinery.
The netting itself is straightforward HDPE. What separates a net that lasts eight years from one that sags in eight months is how it is anchored, how evenly it is tensioned, and whether the edges are properly closed. A net with a gap at the top corner is a net with a pigeon behind it.

Installation
Every job follows the same seven steps — home visit, measurement, written quotation, confirmation, fitting and follow-up. The full process is set out here. Balcony bird netting is usually completed in a single day once the material is ready. Larger sites are scheduled against the survey.
Maintenance
A correctly tensioned net needs almost nothing. Check the corner anchors once a year and after any major storm.
How pricing works
We do not publish a rate card, because a custom-fabricated job does not have one. Your quotation is built from the measured area of each opening, the system and material you choose, the fabrication involved and the installation work required. The minimum chargeable area is 10 sq ft per window and 12 sq ft for balcony work. Every job is invoiced with GST.
Installation work carries a 24 months warranty, with the terms set out in your quotation.
FAQs
About anti-bird nets
Will it damage the balcony or the railing?
Fixings go into sound structure, and where a society prohibits drilling we use clamped or tensioned alternatives. Tell us the building's rules before we quote so the method matches what you are allowed to do.
Do I need permission from my housing society?
Usually yes, and many societies specify a colour or a fixing method. Get that in writing first — it is the single most common cause of a job being stopped halfway.
How long does a bird net last?
The mesh outlives the fixings. Anchors and tension are what to check, not the netting.
