Mosquito screening in Kolkata is sold badly. Most of the market quotes a rate per square foot over the phone, sends someone to measure on the day of fitting, and installs whatever they carry in the van. The result is panels that sag, tape that lets go in May, and screens people take down after one season.
We do it the other way round. A technician comes to your home with samples, measures every opening, and recommends a system per window — which in most flats means more than one system, because a bedroom grill window and a balcony door are not the same problem.

What it costs, and why we won't quote a number here
A custom-fabricated job has no rate card. Your quotation is built from the measured area of each opening, the system and material you pick, the fabrication involved and the installation work. Publishing a headline rate would only be useful if every window were the same size and every frame the same material, and in Kolkata they never are.
What we can tell you upfront: the minimum chargeable area is 10 sq ft per window and 12 sq ft for balconies, home visits are for 5 windows and above, the ₹500 visit token comes off your bill in full, and installation carries a 24 months warranty.
Timelines
Velcro systems are usually fitted 2–3 days after confirmation. Framed, sliding, pleated and roller systems usually take 7–8 days, because each panel is fabricated to your measurements. We confirm an installation date with you rather than leaving it open.
Measuring your own windows
If you have fewer than five windows, skip the visit. For width, measure outer frame to outer frame at the top, middle and bottom and use the smallest figure. For height, measure outer frame to outer frame at the left, middle and right and again take the smallest. Send those, the number of openings, a photograph of each, and for aluminium sliders the number of tracks. Send it on WhatsApp and we will quote from it.

Mosquito net installation questions
Does a Velcro net damage the window frame or the paint?
Velcro systems are designed for residential use and are fitted to a clean, sound surface. How the tape is fixed depends on whether the frame is wooden, aluminium, UPVC or a grill. Our technician looks at your specific frame during the visit and tells you honestly what to expect on that surface before anything is fitted.
Can the net be removed and washed?
Yes, that is the main advantage of the Velcro system — the panel lifts off, can be washed and pressed back on. Pleated and sliding systems stay in place and are cleaned where they are, usually with a soft brush and mild soapy water. Never use a hard brush or a pressure jet on any mesh.
Do you provide nets for grill windows?
Yes, and they are among the most common windows in Kolkata. Velcro systems work well on them. Depending on how the grill and frame are built, additional framing is sometimes needed — that is assessed during the measurement visit.
What is the difference between Velcro and sliding mosquito mesh?
A Velcro panel is mesh and tape: cheapest, removable, best for fixed windows. A sliding system is a framed panel on a track: costs more, opens and closes without handling anything, and is the right answer for anything you pass through daily.
