Mesh that folds away to almost nothing, for the openings you use every day.
A pleated system carries the mesh in concertina folds that gather into a slim cassette at one side. Drawn across, it screens the whole opening. Pushed back, it collapses into a few centimetres and the view is clear. It is the premium end of insect screening and it exists to solve one problem: openings you use constantly and do not want obstructed.
In Kolkata flats the balcony door is almost always the opening that matters most, and it is the one a fixed panel serves worst. This is the system we use for balcony mosquito-proofing.

Installation
Every job follows the same seven steps — home visit, measurement, written quotation, confirmation, fitting and follow-up. The full process is set out here. Usually fitted 7–8 days after confirmation. Minimum chargeable area for balcony work is 12 sq ft.
Maintenance
Keep the bottom track free of grit and hair — that is what makes a pleated screen drag. Wipe the mesh with a damp cloth rather than scrubbing it, and never force the pleats when the track is dirty.
How pricing works
We do not publish a rate card, because a custom-fabricated job does not have one. Your quotation is built from the measured area of each opening, the system and material you choose, the fabrication involved and the installation work required. The minimum chargeable area is 10 sq ft per window and 12 sq ft for balcony work. Every job is invoiced with GST.
Installation work carries a 24 months warranty, with the terms set out in your quotation.
FAQs
About pleated mosquito mesh
Why is pleated more expensive than a Velcro panel?
You are paying for the mechanism, not the mesh. A pleated system has a cassette, side channels, a bottom track and cords that hold the folds even — all fabricated to your opening. A Velcro panel is mesh and tape. Both keep mosquitoes out; they solve different problems.
Is it suitable for a balcony that gets driving rain?
The mesh and sections handle weather, but a track that fills with grit and water will drag. On exposed balconies we look at where the bottom track sits and how it drains before recommending it.
