Velcro Mosquito Nets in Kolkata
The most economical mosquito system, and for most Kolkata windows the most sensible one.
A Velcro mosquito net is a mesh panel with hook-and-loop tape bonded around its border. The matching tape is fixed to your window frame, the panel presses on, and it lifts straight off again when you want to wash it. There is no track, no channel and no alteration to the window itself.
It suits the way most Kolkata homes are built. Grill windows, wooden frames, older casements and openings of awkward shape all take a Velcro panel without any structural change, and each panel is cut to that specific opening rather than to a stock size.

Installation
Every job follows the same seven steps — home visit, measurement, written quotation, confirmation, fitting and follow-up. The full process is set out here. Usually fitted 2–3 days after you confirm the order.
Maintenance
Lift the panel off, wash it in mild soapy water with a soft brush, dry it flat and press it back on. Twice a year is plenty for most homes; more often if you are on a main road. Never use a hard brush or a pressure jet.
How pricing works
We do not publish a rate card, because a custom-fabricated job does not have one. Your quotation is built from the measured area of each opening, the system and material you choose, the fabrication involved and the installation work required. The minimum chargeable area is 10 sq ft per window and 12 sq ft for balcony work. Every job is invoiced with GST.
Installation work carries a 24 months warranty, with the terms set out in your quotation.
FAQs
About velcro mosquito nets
Does the tape damage the frame or the paint?
It is fitted to a clean, sound surface, and how the tape is fixed depends on whether the frame is wood, aluminium, UPVC or a grill. Our technician looks at your actual frame during the visit and tells you what to expect on that surface before anything is fitted. We would rather lose the job than surprise you afterwards.
Can it be removed and put back by me?
Yes, that is the point of the system. The panel lifts off and presses back on without tools.
How long does the mesh last?
Fibreglass mesh outlasts polyester in Kolkata's sun and humidity. In practice the tape usually needs attention before the mesh does, which is why we fabricate with premium hook-and-loop rather than the cheapest available.
